She was born in South Carolina and received her college education at Clemson University. She went on to receive an master's in broadcast journalism degree from the University of Miami. From the beginning of her life, Kelly had a dream of working with television channels as she found the jobs associated with television attractive and glamorous. After completing her studies after graduation, she was hired by ACC Digital Network as a production assistant and intern. After her training and experience, she was elevated to the position of production assistant at ACC Digital Network. Then, she joined Fox Sports Florida as an intern and then moved on to Fox Sports Sun. She persevered until she was elevated to the position of MLB Network, the largest sports news channel in America. She is currently employed by the network as co-host of 'The Rundown' which is a popular program that airs on the network.
