Torrie Wilson, one of the top wrestlers of all time, came from the sprawling and vast farms of Boise. A budding fitness model during the latter half of 1990s Wilson's first foray into entertainment in the sports world came out of a backstage visit to WCW with her then-boyfriend. She ended up accompanying Scott Steiner to the ring, and stayed in the industry for a good ten years following that. In addition to competing in WCW, Wilson was also the manager of competitors like David Flair, Billy Kidman and The Filthy Animals and Shane Douglas. Wilson was hired by WWE as soon as the company bought WCW, in spring 2001. She was a perfect fit for WWE due to her athleticism and also enjoys entertaining. This coincided with one of the greatest times in sports entertainment. Wilson's partnership with her friend (and often rival) Stacy Keibler helped make her the key player in the WCW's assault on WWE. Wilson's participation in the women's WWE division started after the invasion. Wilson had memorable rivalries, including with Keibler, Sable, Melina as well as Melina, Sable, and Keibler. Wilson fought to defend her family against Dawn Marie.
