Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic who is also a public speaking event organizer. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency which provides commentary and videos on the representation of women in pop culture. Feminist Frequency examines the way women are represented in the popular culture. Destroying stereotypes about women are her primary goals. However, Sarkeesian also highlights issues related to specifically targeted harassment online against women as well as other communities who have been excluded. As a public speaker, she's highly sought after and has spoken at TEDxWomen XOXO and United Nations Broadband Working Group. This ambitious woman planned to start an internet-based series on the gender roles in games but was the target of a harassment campaign online.
